Surveys closing very soon

Just a reminder that the Surveys are closing on May 2nd if you are a Kickstarter Backer and have not received your survey email you must tell me so I can make sure you get that! If you do not fill out your survey before May 2nd we will be forced to assume your pledge is a donation, and you will not recieve your rewards. If you are UK backer wishing to wait for the HMRC to reply about the VAT you MUST email me before May 2nd. If you are are Pre-Order backer (did not pledge through Kickstarter, ordered on Backerkit) the survey does not apply to you.

Paid the Manufacturer

Today I paid the manufacturer, we have a few things to go over before bulk Production starts, but the process has begun!

Survey Deadline

Yesterday was meant to be the Backerkit Survey deadline. Normally I like to send out several updates leading up to the deadline of the Backerkit Survey so that no one misses out.  However, Wednesday I fell  pretty seriously sick; today I am finally able to stand on my own two feet without any trouble.  Because I feel I was unable to thoroughly remind you all in the final days, I have extended the Backerkit Survey deadline until May 2nd. Please note there will not be any final chances, if the Backerkit Survey is not filled out by May 2nd you will NOT RECIEVE YOUR REWARDS.

If your Backerkit Survey is not filled out by May 2nd you will NOT RECIEVE YOUR REWARDS. 

Please take this very seriously, there are 15 of you who have not yet finished your survey. Without the shipping address and shipping costs, I will have no way of sending you your rewards.  If you do not finish your survey by May 2nd we will be forced to assume you are forfeiting your rewards, and you are donating your pledge amount.

What if you didn't receive your survey email?

Your Backerkit survey email should have gone to the email associated with your Kickstarter account. If you do not see the email in that inbox please also check your spam folder. If all else fails please use this link to recover your survey. 

When will I be charged for my Backerkit Survey?

You wont be charged until we get closer to the shipping date. At that time I will send out an update letting you all know that your Backerkit charges will go through. Those who chose Paypal have already been charged.

UK Backers

I am fully aware UK backers are not able to fill out your Backerkit survey but if you are a UK backer did not select option 1 on update #7 then you MUST email me BEFORE May 2nd to let me know you want option 2! please reread update #7 for more info!

Surveys and Production

We are currently at 77% surveys completed. At 80% the bags will go into production. That means only 6 backers out of the remaining 65 need to complete their surveys before we can put them into production. If you are among the 65 backers who have not finished filling out your survey please remember to do that before the survey deadline April 25th, or we will forced to assume your pledge is a donation.  If you need an extension please let us know BEFORE the survey deadline.  (please note the survey is only for KICKSTARTER backers, not Pre-order backers. Thank you)

Paypal 

Backers who chose Paypal were already charged, but Card backers won't be charged until we get closer to shipping. This means if you dont want to wait to have the money pulled, please chose Paypal.  

UK BACKERS!!!

Address Change

You will be able to change your address on your survey, up until we lock addresses which won't be until we get closer to shipping. We will post an update at that time.

Mistake on the Clutch insert add-on

There was a mistake on the clutch add-on. I accidentally added a yellow insert color variant. I have decided to keep it and make a yellow insert. If you were a Paypal backer your survey is already locked in, so let me know if you want me to try and figure out how to add that on for you.  Otherwise you are able to edit your survey up until the survey deadline, April 25th.

Backerkit Surveys

Backerkit Surveys are going out today. For those of you new to Kickstarter, Kickstarter Surveys is where you can pick your reward colors, add-ons, and give us your mailing address.  The Survey Deadline is April 25th. This is just short of 3 weeks, which should give you plenty of time to make your decisions. After I have received about 80% of the surveys I will start production. 

Reminder: As outlined in  the Kickstarter Campaign, You will be charged for shipping during your survey process. This is based on weight and your country! We will not be doing any refunds for misunderstandings regarding the shipping costs. 

VAT!!! UK BACKERS!!!

If you are a UK backer PLEASE READ THIS FULLY!!! If you are NOT a UK backers please skip to the Point of Contact section of this update. 

UK backers, After very intensive painstaking process, I have applied for a VAT number from HMRC. They reached out to me today saying my application is under review and will take 30 days for a response. Due to this being outside of the Backerkit Survey deadline, I have come up with two options for you:

Option 1:  You can provide an address outside of the UK. 

How can you do this? You can ship to a friend or use a third party mail forwarding service. You will pay shipping thru your Backerkit survey to the provided address that your friend or third party mail forwarding service provides. Once the product is delivered to the provided address, any issues regarding shipping will need to be addressed to your intermediary source.  If you chose to go this route we can not recommend you with any specific third party mail forwarding service.

Option2: You can wait for our VAT application 

For those who wish to wait on the VAT application, you have to EMAIL [email protected] and provide your name and backer number. We will make a note that you are unable to answer your survey, and will spend time with you after we receive an answer from the HMRC. In this route, if the HMRC denies our application for a VAT number, we will offer you option 1 again. If you still do not want Option 1, we will THEN refund you your pledge.

Add-ons

Did you add money on to your pledge during the campaign or want to add on another item now? This section will explain is how you will do that! 

PLEASE NOTE: IF you added money on during the Kickstarter you will see your available credit like the image above. You MUST follow the steps below in order to get your add-ons. 

Steps to how to add-on items to your pledge:

•  Step 1.  After completing your pledge level questions you will end up on a page that looks like this:

•  Step 2.  Click add to cart (or view options, select the option you want and then add to cart) to select the add-on you want.  You DO NOT NEED CREDIT from the campaign to do this step, instead you will pay at the end of the survey. You will be able to add products from my store (including the summertime picnic ita bags at the Kickstarter price). Please note that I am unable to set quantity limits to variants on listings in Backerkit, so if I am unable to fulfill a shop item, it will be removed and you will not be charged for that. 

•  Step 3. You can review what add-on(s) you have selected under the Pledge Level items. After

•  Step 4.  At this point you are done with your add-ons and proceed to input your shipping address by hitting the next button

Working Hard.

Hello Everyone! I am working hard to get the Pre-order store, and Backerkit Surveys up and running. Right now I am stuck on setting up the shipping. I need responses from Backerkit, as well as HMRC in UK. I have finished everything else so once I am able to complete setting up the shipping costs, I will send the surveys to Backerkit for review! After that I ill be able to send them out My goal is sometime this weekend, or early next week!

Add-ons

On the next Kickstarter update I will be showing how to use your add-on money, and/or add items to your pledge using the backerkit survey. I have also made it so that you can get the Summertime Picnic Ita bags for the Kickstarter price. I have also added a clutch a6 binder insert, and the Summertime Picnic Kickstarter pins

Yellow Backpack

Luckily, we had enough errored charges fixed so the yellow backpack is funded! I was really nervous for a moment there, but we will got them funded!

Shipping reminder

This is a quick reminder that shipping will be charged during the survey process. Failure to pay shipping will result in your pledge being marked as a donation, and will not be fulfilled.

UK Backers

I am still working to see if I can get a VAT number so that I can fulfill UK pledges. If I am unable to I will cancel your pledge and refund you. Alternatively if you are in the UK you can use a mail forwarding service like this one!
